Dr. Rhesa Bautista was drawn to dentistry by the inherent qualities of the profession. "It's a profession that is caring and compassionate, very detail oriented and thrives from good social relationships between doctors and patients." After receiving a Bachelor of Science in biology at Trinity University, San Antonio, Texas, Dr. Bautista went on to achieve her D.D.S. at the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston in 2003. She practiced dentistry in Austin for a little over a year before deciding that her home town of Houston was where she really wanted to settle and establish her dental career. Always striving to learn more, she has been broadening her knowledge on neuromuscular and cosmetic dentistry at the world renowned Las Vegas Institute(LVI). Dr. Bautista has been with Lasting Impressions Dental Group since 2006 and is proud to be a part of such a great team and family of patients.

Dr. Khalilah N. McAfee attended Texas A&M University where she completed her Bachelor's of Science degree with a major in Biomedical Science. She obtained her Doctrine of Dental Science Degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center, Dental Branch. Since completing her education, she has worked for Craven and Plummer, Inc. at the Harris County Hospital District where she proudly served the underprivileged patients for four and a half years. Dr. McAfee recently signed on with Dr. Scott and the Lasting Impressions Dental Group where she is looking forward to providing patients with excellent service while practicing the profession that she loves. Dr. McAfee has always had a passion for preserving our environment and looking forward to assisting the Lasting Impression Dental Group with their "go green" transition. Dr. McAfee is married to Bernard McAfee III. She is the proud mother of two year old Chloe Anne McAfee and is expecting her second child due to be born in October of 2009.

Gail assists with making appointments, discussing treatment plans, and insurance benefits. Gail has an Associate of Arts degree, and is currently working on her B.S. at the University of Houston. She has over 15 years in the dental field and will make sure that your insurance benefits are properly handled. Our office operates so efficiently and smoothly because of her expertise. Gail is originally from Trinidad and Tobago. She is happily married, and she enjoys reading, walking and swimming.

Ishia graduated from dental assistant school in 2006. She is one of the first persons of contact. Ishia answers the phone and schedules appointments. You can always count on Ishia to greet you with a warm smile. She is from Marrero, Louisiana and the mother of two children, Tamia and Shyheim.

Tamara obtained her dental hygiene certificate at The University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston. Prior to being a Dental Hygienist, Tamara was enlisted in the United States Army, where she worked as a Dental Assistant. Tamara has over eight years of experience in the dental profession and special expertise in treating patients with periodontal (gum) disease. Tamara really cares and wants every patient to have a healthy smile and will work with them to maintain it. Tamara is a native of Kingston, Jamaica.

Upon completion of dental school in 2003, Omar immediately joined Lasting Impressions Dental Group and has been with the practice since its founding. He is very knowledgeable in dentistry and will make sure that you understand what to expect during your visit and future visits. Omar is our senior orthodontic assistant and he assists in general as well. His hobbies are anything to do with sports and spending quality time with his family. Omar is a native Houstonian. He has a daughter, Gisselle, whom he adores!

Travis began his career in dentistry in the United States Navy. Travis’ personality can light up any room. His warm persona makes every visit for patients relaxing and stress free. If you need a blanket or a personal movie viewer, don’t hesitate to ask him. Travis has over eight years of experience. Travis assists in general dentistry and orthodontic care. Travis is also trained in ZOOM Teeth whitening. Travis is a native Houstonian and his hobbies are spending time with his family and having cook outs.

Stephanie graduated from dental assistant school in 2008 and joined Lasting Impressions Dental Group. Stephanie is well organized and has great clinical skills. She is very excited about dentistry and loves working with our advance technology such as digital x-rays, intraoral cameras and digital charting. Stephanie’s main concern is making sure your appointment is comfortable. Stephanie is a native Houstonian She is the mother of one child, Sydney.
